Hotel ZaZa (formerly the Warwick)  |  Houston, TX


The Problem:
Hotel ZaZa purchased The Warwick Hotel in 2005. All 34 of the hotel’s 80+ year-old galvanized hot and cold risers had failed and required replacement or restoration. The pipes suffered from restricted flow, rust-colored water and pinhole leaks due to extensive corrosion.

The Problem:
After only 9 years of occupancy, the hotel’s hot water copper system was in advanced failure due to substandard worksmanship. For the past few years, isolated pipe replacement and pressure clamps were utilized to immediately address leaks and pipe failure issues.

The 54 year old hotel was undergoing a major renovation and plumbing issues required immediate attention. The plumbing system was experiencing low water flow, variable temperature and variable pressure throughout the hot water system.

A traditional repipe would have involved long downtime, loss of revenue asbestos removal, complete renovation of bathroom fixtures and a tremendous amount of guest inconvenience.
