TDT Offshore is the first company to employ the time tested and proven epoxy barrier coating process to offshore platform potable piping systems.
British Petroleum contracted TDT Offshore to protect their Atlantis Oil and Gas production platform. TDT Offshore implemented their patented E-pipe restoration technology to mitigate the potable plumbing system on the Atlantis Platform. The pipes ranged in size from 1/2" to 3.0" in diameter. The pipes are stainless steel and had developed pinhole leaks in just a few years into operation. Granherne, Mustang Engineering and TDT Offshore division developed a restoration plan to allow for full operation of the platform of over 100 POB's with no downtime.
TDT Offshore restoration technicians successfully completed "specialized" safety offshore training and evacuation procedures to meet British Petroleum strick safety platform requriements. The patented e-pipe restoration process can be used in various types of applications; including potable piping systems, chill water systems, natural gas systems and is amenable to various types of piping materials, such as stainless steel pipe, galvanized steel pipe, black steel pipe, and copper pipe.
